Decades of space exploration has led to the accumulation of more than 500,000 pieces of useless artificial objects orbiting Earth. Kaspersky is committed to building a safer future, taking important steps today to secure our tomorrow and make space exploration possible. Kaspersky is supporting a startup called StartRocket in its quest to develop technology that can resolve this environmental issue.
This site is just the beginning of a huge, ambitious project. It was created in an effort to raise awareness about the problem of space debris. The threat of it is easily portrayed through simple metaphors understandable to all. For instance, Garbage constellations: what could be more off-putting than common, terrestrial garbage floating around our atmosphere?
The website aims to show the problem from different perspectives — both from the ground and from space, using innovative and technological methods, like 360-degree panoramas, 3D-models, animations, and parallax effects.
