Бизнес-задача и ее решение

Изначально заказчик хотел обновить дизайн сайта - ничего сложного и долгого.

В процессе пришли к тому, что нужно мобильное приложение. И нам предложили взять на себя разработку для платформ IOS и Android.

Целевая аудитория проекта:
Приложение Talkme разрабатывалось для живого общения:
- блогеров с подписчиками;
- спикеров различных направлений;
- преподавателей с учениками и студентами;
- отраслевых экспертов с их зрителями.

В приложении удобно проводить мастер-классы в онлайн-режиме. Любое мероприятие можно организовать платно и бесплатно.

Заказчик доверился нам на все 100%, и мы приступили к решению задач:
- создать дизайн современного и удобного приложения;
- разработать приложение без ТЗ;
- заменить изначальную API команду проекта;
- экстренно перенести приложение на другой хостинг;
- внедрить новые фичи: монетизацию эфиров, внутреннюю валюту, категоризацию, ленту LIVE.

Решения JoyDev:
Чтобы уважить заказчика, нужно думать как заказчик или сотрудничать с ним в моменте. К примеру, наши UI-дизайнеры верстали и согласовывали с заказчиком дизайн в режиме онлайн, чем предвосхитили все его ожидания!

Мы реализовали новые фичи в приложении:
- Лента LIVE: в карусели пользователи публикуют видео, ведут прямые эфиры.
- Внутренняя валюта приложения: мы достигли экономической сходимости Talki Coin и реальной валюты, учитывая все комиссии.
- Подарки и «чаевые» спикерам: если понравился эфир, можно выразить свою признательность донатами, которые спикер сможет конвертировать в деньги и обналичить.
- Платные эфиры: организатор может указать стоимость эфира, а также лимит на количество участников.
- Удобная категоризация: никаких хештегов. Выбирайте категории из 21 предложенных и создавайте до 100 своих подкатегорий.
- Анонс трансляций: создавайте свою афишу эфиров и анонсируйте мероприятия. Время старта, длительность и стоимость видны в удобном формате.
- Проведение “Круглого стола”: общайтесь с подписчиками, подключая к эфиру до 5 разных спикеров.

! В процессе разработки появилась срочная задача:
- ввиду геополитической обстановки потребовалось срочно заменить иностранную команду API;
- найти новый сервис видеохостинга, который удовлетворил бы продуктовые потребности заказчика;
- экстренно перенести все данные с одного сервиса на другой.

Мы провели тщательный анализ сервисов видеохостинга. Рассматривали Zoom, Dacast, Trueconf, Vonage Video API и GCore Labs. Важно было учесть все нюансы, чтобы предложить заказчику оптимальный вариант и не выйти за рамки бюджета.
В итоге мы перенесли проект на сервис GCore.

Ретро:
Было - иностранная API команда, работающая с определенным сервисом хостинга, в новых реалиях - возможный риск заказчика.
Стало - наша API команда предоставила Backend на сервисе GCore, полностью удовлетворив запрос заказчика.

Originally, our customer wanted to update the design of the website. No sweat!

During the process, we came up to the conclusion that an application was needed. And we were offered to launch the development for iOS and Android platforms.

The target audience of the project:
The Talkme app was developed for live communication:
- bloggers with subscribers;
- speakers of various areas;
- teachers with students;
- industry experts with their viewers.

The application is convenient to conduct master classes online. Any event can be organized either for a fee or for free.

The customer trusted us 100%, and we started solving problems:
- create a design of a modern and convenient application;
- develop an application without Technical requirements;
- replace the original API project team;
- urgently transfer the application to another hosting;
- to introduce new features: live broadcasts’ monetization, internal currency, categorization, LIVE feed.

For example, our UI designers developed the design with the customer online. And it exceeded all his expectations!

New features of the TalkMe app:
- LIVE Feed - in the carousel, users post videos, conduct live broadcasts.
- The internal currency of the application. We have achieved the economic interaction of Talki Coin and real currency, all the platforms' commissions included.
- Gifts and tips for speakers. You like the broadcast? Express your gratitude with donations, which the speaker will be able to convert into money and cash out.
- Paid live broadcasts. The organizer can customise the price of the broadcast and limit the number of participants.
- Convenient categorization. No hashtags. Choose categories from 21 suggested ones and create up to 100 of your subcategories.
- Announcement of broadcasts. Create your own broadcast poster and announce events. The start time, duration and price are visible in a convenient format.
- Holding a “Round table”. Communicate with subscribers by connecting up to 5 different speakers to the broadcast.

Emergency replacement of the Backend team and hosting service.
New realities are a new challenge for JoyDev!
Due to the geopolitical situation , it was necessary to:
- urgently replace the foreign Backend team;
- find a new video hosting service that would satisfy the customer's product needs;
- quickly transfer all data from one server to another.

Better safe than sorry.
We conducted a thorough analysis of video hosting services. Considered Zoom, Dacast, Trueconf, Vonage Video API and GCore Labs. It was important to keep in mind all the nuances in order to offer the best option for the customer while fitting within the budget.
And we made it!

As a result, we transferred the project to the GCore service.
Briefly about its advantages:
- low-latency streaming;
- recording videos and streaming them to any platform (Facebook, Youtube, etc.);
- speakers may be up to 100 people at once;
- export of audience statistics;
- protection of broadcasts using URL Tokenization, AES and DRM encryption;
- SDK for iOS, Android, Web;

Retro:
Before - foreign API team working with a specific hosting service that may become a possible risk for the customer, according to new realities.
After - our API team provided a Backend on the GCore service. That led to complete satisfaction of the customer's request.

We chose Joy Dev, because they were recommended as a team of professionals.

First, we contacted Joy Dev to improve our existing design. We started the work with the designer before the main part was launched. We worked out the technical requirements for the project together with their specialists. Then the development process began, we were keeping in touch with project managers of both Android and iOS teams.

The process was organized by the Scrum method and contained 2-week sprints and a demo version by the end of each sprint. The workflow was very effective due to the work of the teams, who provided us with clear work plans, deadlines, and estimates.
